Are You a Traditional Catholic Parent?
Free Traditional Catholic Books for Children
Hi, my name is Dale Sellers. I started Angel Food Media to share traditional Catholic books for children online with other parents who would appreciate authors from the 1930’s, 40’s, and 50’s like Rev. Gerald T. Brennan (1898 – 1962), The Maryknoll Sisters, “Mine” and “Little Mine” – magazines for the Catholic child.
The traditional Catholic publications posted on this site are richly illustrated and filled with activities that will amuse, teach, inspire and raise your child’s heart to God. As a traditional Catholic father of six children, I am very greatful for the many treasures that were published long ago – treasures that I can use to share our faith with the next generation. Unlike so many other things my children are always asking for more of, I’m glad to share these stories with them. As we all are on the road to sainthood, with all of it’s failures and successes, God gives me a glimmer of hope every once-in-a-while that the lessons have had a positive impact on them.
The best time for my family to hear thier favorite traditional Catholic story is during our evening meal. After I have finished my meal and my children are still eating, I will spend about five or ten minutes sharing short stories for children. I have been reading some great traditional Catholic fiction to my children lately by Rev. Gerald T. Brennan, like “How Tom Crowley, the sinner, became Tom Crowley, the Saint” It is only two or three pages long and my children cannot get enough! They are always asking me to read more traditional Catholic storys or what the name of the next story is. This is very encouraging for me as a parent.
Please take your time browsing this site, share these traditional Catholic stories with your children, tell others how much you and you family have enjoyed Angel Food Media, and send me your notes of encouragement!
